Volunteer to attend an Admitted Student Reception in your area!Admitted Student Receptions celebrate students’ acceptance to LSU in their geographic areas. Here, students are able to meet other future Tigers from their hometown and mingle with alumni, which allows students to feel like part of the LSU family.
What to Expect You will mingle with prospective students and their guests until the formal presentation begins. Select alumni will be chosen to speak on a panel during the presentation. You are not expected to be an expert on LSU's processes, programs, services, etc. It is perfectly acceptable for you to refer a student to an Admissions staff member if a guest needs specific information or questions answers. We will send additional details and information as we get closer to the event. There will be a brief training at the start of the event as well as an opportunity for you to ask any questions one-on-one.
